DTG: ink into the fabric
The garment is pretreated and water-based ink is jetted directly into the cotton fibres. Nothing sits on top of the shirt - the print becomes part of it.

DTF: print, powder, press
Your design is printed in full colour onto film - white ink included - coated with adhesive powder, cured, then heat-pressed into the garment and peeled.

Cure, inspect, pack
Every print is fully cured, then checked piece by piece, folded, and packed on our floor in Montreal before it ships.

Q01 What's the difference between DTG and DTF?
DTG (Direct-to-Garment) jets water-based ink straight into the fabric - it only works on cotton and high-cotton blends, but nothing beats it for softness, because the print has no weight or edge at all. DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints your design onto a film that gets heat-pressed into the garment, so it works on polyester, fleece, caps, totes, and blends, with stronger opacity on dark colours. Both are full colour with no minimum. We choose per garment - or tell us which you want.
Q02 Is there really no minimum?
None. Order a single piece if that's what you need. Volume discounts kick in as your quantities grow, and for large runs of one logo we'll point you to screen printing instead.
Q03 How durable is it?
Both methods bond into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stretches with the garment and holds its colour wash after wash. Wash inside out in cold water and tumble dry low - treated that way, the print will outlast the shirt it's on.
Q04 What garments can you print on?
Cotton tees, polyester polos and jerseys, fleece and hoodies, blends, caps, and tote bags. Cotton pieces usually run DTG for the softest finish; polyester, fleece, caps, and blends run DTF, which handles fabrics that other print methods struggle with.
Q05 Digital printing or screen printing?
Digital - DTG or DTF - wins on full-colour artwork, small runs, and pieces that need to be different from each other. Screen printing wins on large runs of the same logo - 500+ units per design - where the ink is richer and the per-unit cost drops.
Q06 What artwork do you need from me?
A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background (300 DPI at print size) or a vector file - the same file works for both DTG and DTF. Send whatever you have and our designers will tell you how it will print before anything is produced.
